Hello there! In my very first post, I shared insights on utilizing procedural algorithms to create visually appealing tile sets. As my project progressed, I realized that my initial implementation required some adjustments. That’s why I am excited to announce the addition of layers to each tile set!

Layers introduce new features that can be placed at arbitrary coordinates, allowing for enhanced creativity and design flexibility while retaining the distinctive aesthetics.

The following picture showcases a specific example featuring larger stalagmites positioned predominantly in the center, surrounded by smaller ones. Although the center position remains relatively unchanged, this glimpse demonstrates the creative possibilities unlocked by the new layering system.

Bottom Line

I am thrilled about the potential these additions bring to my project, enabling me to craft more immersive and visually captivating environments. Stay tuned for upcoming updates as I continue to explore the possibilities and share more examples of what can be achieved with this enhanced implementation.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and remember, happy coding and game development! See you next time!
